  • Our friend brought us to this location, it's tucked in an alley and not easy to find. They server Jokbal and Gamjatang only, don't let it deceive you, because their Jokbal is out of this world! Their portion is very huge, we sits separately with our group, so it's only my wife and my toddler that sits with us. We didn't pay attention before ordering, because their portion is huge and we ordered both Jokbal and Gamjatang to ourselves. Their Jokbal is so soft and tender, gamjatang has meat falling off the bone tenderness. Worth a visit if you're in seoul.

  • The food is incredibly nice. We ordered the small portion for two but we end up so full after eating all. Best food among all that I've tried in Seoul. Simply marvelous

  • Halmaejip 할매집 is a rare Michelin Star restaurant that specialises in only Jokbal (Braised pig trotter) and Gamjatang (spicy bone broth soup with bones and vegetables). And I'm not sure if it's the Michelin-placebo effect, but their Jokbal was actually probably the best Jokbal I've ever had. It tasted really good Their gamjatang tasted excellent as well. Use Naver Maps to know their exact opening hours before visiting!

  • Authentic Korean pork Knuckles and beef stew pot. Simple dish and very delicious. The setup is like someone's house. Will need to take shoes off before entering the dining room.

  • The best jokbal I’ve tried. The meat is so tender that it falls apart when you try to pick it up. Perfectly seasoned and honestly I understand why it’s been in the Michelin guide of seoul for the past 7 years. The food is just unbeatable. From the moment they brought it over to our table to when we stopped eating it took 15 minutes to finish. Perfect combination with somak ( soju mixed with beer). I honestly can’t wait to try this again. 10/10

  • Got recommended by this on Instagram & it totally hit the spot!! They accept credit card! We came on a Friday around 6pm & waited ~15 mins for a table. If you come later on Sat/Sun, you’ll likely wait up to 30mins for a table. We ordered the 2 main dishes - Gamjatang & Braised Pig Trotters. For 2 pax & below, highly recommend you choose 1 only - They’re fairly big portions. For 2 pax & above, go for both! The Gamjatang is quite spicy so if you can’t handle spice, ask for less spicy. Waitresses speaks decent English so they’ll understand! We paid SGD$68 for 2 of the main dishes - Expensive but so so worth it! Will be back for sure

  • Excellent food!! Big portions also and fast service and good prices! The pork is extremely tasty and goes well with all the side dishes they bring you! They only serve portions for 2, so it is relatively big portions. Recommended!

  • This hidden gem is located in an alley, so it’s best to use the NAVER map for accurate navigation. We arrived around 5:30 p.m. and ordered: -Potato soup with pork ribs[감자탕(2人,小)]₩ 30,000 -CASS bear [CASS 맥주] ₩5,000 The staff recommended that we start with the pork ribs while we waited for the vegetables in the pot to cook. By 6:30 p.m., when we checked the bill in cash, a long queue was already outside. Most of the customers seemed to be locals. The staff may have a basic understanding of English, it’s helpful to have a translation app ready, both Papago and Google Translate worked well. Notes: 1. Please remove your shoes before entering the dining area. 2. The order note is for the staff to track orders; please do not write your own. Let the staff know when you're ready to order. 3. There’s a washroom at the entrance, but no toilet paper or soap is provided. Be sure to bring your own sanitary items.
